Our Black Drawing Salve is an herbal preparation made from farm fresh, dried flowers of calendula (Calendula Officinalis), St. John’s wort (Hypericum Perforatum), dried leaves of plantain (Plantago major), comfrey (Symphytum Officinale), and rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) grown on our property, lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) and clove (Syzygium Aromaticum), sourced from an organic producer and infused in extra virgin olive oil, for at least six weeks. Handcrafted with beeswax, bentonite clay and activated charcoal, carefully composed with intention to draw foreign objects and impurities from the skin, to provide soothing and anti-microbial effects, aiding in wound healing and to help with skin irritations.

·     Plantain, calendula, comfrey, lavender and rosemary contain soothing properties and help reduce inflammation and promote healing in the skin.

·     Clove specifically supports the body’s natural ability to handle mild pain during times of discomfort.

·     Calendula and St. John's wort support the body’s natural ability to ease inflammation, nerves and soothe irritated skin.

·     St. John's wort and bentonite clay promote the regeneration of skin tissues and encourages wound healing.

·     Calendula, clove and St. John's wort supports the body’s natural immune system functions during times of combating infections.

·     St. John’s wort is protective and nurturing, promoting our body’s natural ability to defend against oxidative stress and cellular damage.

·     Activated charcoal and bentonite clay have adsorbent properties, meaning they can attract and bind to toxins and impurities in the skin, absorb toxins and excess oil, helping to draw out foreign objects and impurities.

·     Extra virgin olive oil is a natural emollient, supporting the body’s skin barrier, providing intense hydration to your skin, locking in moisture, and protecting against environmental stressors.

·     The beeswax forms a protective barrier, sealing in moisture.
